Creative Movement gives two year-olds creative development, rhythmic skills, and a foundation for motor development. This 30-minute class allows children to move freely and develop a love for dance.
Tiny Tutus Program is for preschool children 3 -5 years old. Students must be three years of age by September 1st to begin in the fall. Dance instruction includes ballet and tap, with a strong emphasis on creative movement. Creative movement enhances the development of fine motor skills as they run, skip, leap, stretch, coordinate, isolate and move to music.
Rookie Fusion are combination classes that include Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. For dancers in Kindergarten through 2nd Grade. We also offer a Rookie Jazz and Rookie Hip Hop class for the same age.
Acro dance is a style of dance that combines classical dance technique with precision acrobatic elements. Acrobatics teaches flexibility, balance, strength, muscle control, discipline and concentration. This class is great for students looking to enhance their agility, flexibility and strength.
Boys Athletic Dance (B.A.D.) is an all boys class that is an upbeat and fast movements class! The class focusing on working out, partnering, along with Jazz and Hip Hop style of dance. Classes are available for dancers in the 3rd grade and up.
Ballet is the foundation of dance. It teaches proper placement, alignment, balance, technique and control. All of these elements are extremely important in any form of dance. Students focus on improving strength, control, and body positioning in barre and center work, as well as learning all of the vocabulary and terminology of Ballet. A great class for any student in the 2nd Grade and up. Dancers will be placed in the correct class level by age and ability.
Contemporary dance is an extension of ballet that expresses and showcases emotion. The dancer is taught to interpret his or her movement with feeling, motion and style. This style combines the fluid beauty of ballet with the more sharp moves in jazz. Classes offered to students in 6th grade and up.
Hip Hop is the style most frequently seen on television and music videos. Movements are fast, funky, and intricate at times. A Jazz background is recommended. Classes offered to students 2nd Grade and up.
Jazz is a stylized, fast-paced form of dance that employs many of the same concepts of ballet. This form of dance includes a variety of different skills and other technical aspects, and is paired with music that is popular and upbeat. Students focus on strength, technique, memorization, and terminology. Classes are available for dancers in the 3rd through 12th grade. Dancers will be placed in the correct class level by age and ability.
Leaps & Turns classes are available to any student wishing to improve upon the technical aspects of dance including their jumps, leaps and turns. Classes will cover both Jazz and Ballet technique. Classes are offered to dancers in the 4th grade and up.
Modern is a dance form based on creative expression. It is designed to develop the mind, body and spirit to be an expressive communicator through movement. Structured technical exercises that condition the body for strength, coordination and flexibility are developed. Physical activities which focus on the aspects of space, time, shape, and movement dynamics are explored through individual work as well as group participation. Classes offered to students in 6th grade and up.
Pointe is offered to those students who have mastered the knowledge and technique of ballet and are ready for the next level. Strength and control are extremely important in this dance form. Instructor approval is necessary. Dancers must take a Ballet class to be in Pointe.
Tap is all about rhythm. This exciting and challenging form of dance is executed by creating combinations of sounds with the shoes on your feet. Students focus on rhythm, timing, and coordination. Classes offered to students in the 2nd Grade and up.
Improv & Choreography gives dancers the opportunity to create. Improvisation activities will tap into their creativity and develop skills needed to work in a group. This class will perform their own choreography in our annual recital.
Trainees The Studio’s Ballet Apprentice Company has been formulated to give dedicated young dancers specialized training and performance opportunities. The company is for dancers in the 3r, 4th, and 5th grade. Please contact The Studio for required information.

Company is strictly for those dancers who have a passion for dance and want to take it to the next level!! Dancers perform in a variety of shows throughout the year as well as compete with their dances in the Spring. The Company’s Mission is to develop a youth company centered around the love of the art of dance. We strive to positively lead by example and exude class, unity and strength.
